Aerotek Test Technician in Everett, Washington

Test Technician I – Entry Level

Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Schedule: 6:00am–3:30pm Monday–Thursday, and 6:00am–2:30pm every other Friday

Location: Everett, WA

Job Overview

The Test Technician I is an entry-level role designed for individuals early in their electronics career. Working under close supervision, you will learn to test, calibrate, and support electronic components and assemblies by following clear procedures and work instructions. This position offers hands-on experience, structured training, and mentorship in a high-quality aerospace manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform basic functional testing and calibration of electronic components, subassemblies, and assemblies using established instructions.

  • Learn to set up and use standard and proprietary electronic test equipment correctly and safely.

  • Assist with identifying issues, documenting rework, and supporting troubleshooting activities.

  • Accurately record test results, yield data, and required documentation.

  • Follow electrostatic discharge (ESD), calibration, safety, and quality requirements at all times.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers to build technical skills and product knowledge.

  • Maintain productivity, quality, and cost standards as defined by the operation.

  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education or training in electronics (technical school, community college, military training, or similar).

  • Basic understanding of electronic principles (digital/analog theory, components, and circuits).

  • Ability to read and follow written procedures, work instructions, and simple schematics.

  • Introductory soldering experience or coursework (hands-on experience preferred but training provided).

  • Comfort using computers and learning new software tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to follow safety rules and work in a manufacturing environment.

Note: Prior professional experience is helpful but not required . Hands-on lab work, school projects, internships, or military training are all valued.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Electronics or a related technical field.

  • Exposure to test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, or oscilloscopes.

  • Experience or coursework involving documentation, calibration, or quality processes.

  • Interest in aerospace, manufacturing, or high-reliability electronics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
