Job description
Northwest Aerospace Technologies (“NAT”), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. Focusing on commercial and military aircrafts, NAT provides first class services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue-Chip customers.
In the role of Project Engineer you'll play a pivotal part on our Engineering team. You will provide Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. Develop engineering project plans to accomplish customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and obtain approval for Statements of Work (SOW) supporting research, development, and new business
Manage SOW changes, assess impacts, and negotiate adjustments to scope, deliverables, resources, cost, and schedule
Lead project execution to fulfill SOW requirements
Define and track program performance metrics
Plan and coordinate resources throughout the project lifecycle
Lead and supervise a team of up to 20 engineers (planning, organizing, coaching, mentoring, training)
Manage multiple priorities and delegate tasks effectively
Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve program issues
Communicate clearly with engineering teams, management, customers, and vendors
Develop engineering plans, staffing plans, schedules, and manage critical path items to meet budget and timeline goals
Provide regular project status updates to upper management
Serve as the primary engineering focal point for assigned programs
Review and approve designs, changes, specifications, and drawing releases
Maintain regular attendance and fulfill additional assigned duties
Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.S.) or equivalent
Minimum 7 years of industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, eligible Permanent Resident, or political asylee) to support ITAR-regulated programs

Job Requirements:
Working knowledge of aircraft structural, interior, mechanical, and electrical engineering
Experience with structural substantiation and certification
Aviation background with aircraft interior experience required
Ability to lead, coach, train, and mentor a team of up to 20 engineers
Assess team strengths and effectively delegate work for maximum productivity
Collaborate with departments and vendors to reach consensus on program solutions
Prepare meeting materials and conduct design reviews to drive progress and alignment
Plan engineering packages, staffing, schedules, and manage critical path to meet budget and timeline goals
Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in CAD systems, spreadsheets, word processing, project scheduling, and presentation software
Physical ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally, with adequate close/color vision
Willingness to travel and work overtime as required
