You will be working on the structures engineering team, supporting both R&D and production.

In this Role, you will be responsible for:
- You will own the mechanical architecture, enclosure design, thermal/structural validation, and qualification of flight electronics through the entire product development life cycle. You'll lead projects and cross functional teams, including but not limited to: planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk mitigation. As a SME, you will mentor junior engineers and those outside the engineering organization in the effective execution of complex projects in a highly regulated industry.

What you'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
- 8+ years of experience in a design engineering capacity. 6+ years with a relevant Master's Degree.
- 2+ years of programmatic leadership experience
- Demonstrated ownership of electronics packaging for aerospace/defense (enclosures, PCB integration, stack-ups, fasteners, thermal/structural tradeoffs)
- Demonstrated success in leading complex technical projects in a highly regulated industry
- Proficiency with 3D CAD, ASME &14.5 documentation standards and tolerancing, and use of PLM for configuration control
- Experience with DO-160 (and/or equivalent Military Standards) including test plans/procedures, hands-on test support, problem reporting, and report authorship.
- Comfort with and practical knowledge of operating in an AS9100 quality system.
- Integration of Configuration Control through the use of PLM systems for technical documentation, BOMs, change orders, CCB, and other processes.
- Experience as the customer interface; comfortable presenting and providing status updates.
- Solidworks (desired) or similar and associate PDM
