Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor

AvtechTyee is searching for a Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor with manufacturing environment experience and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility.  Project Management skills would be a real plus!

The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all building systems, utilities, and site infrastructure are reliable, well-maintained, and capable of supporting daily operations.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Overseeing and measuring the facilities' equipment reliability and performance including corrective, project, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintaining building sites in accordance with relevant regulations and safety codes.
  • Creating and ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Maintaining an environmental policy that enforces environmental regulations and ensures compliance. Assure the proper handling and disposal of all hazardous waste materials. Audit facility on a regular basis, providing continuous improvement feedback to teams.
  • Overseeing budgets and maximizing savings through strategic bidding and negotiations.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining security procedures to meet required codes and regulations.

     

And you will have:

  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, including but not limited to:
  • Electrical distribution and troubleshooting
  • HVAC systems and controls
  • Plumbing, compressed air, and utilities
  • General building and infrastructure maintenance
  • Proven experience with preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
  • Hands-on facilities or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience leading or supervising maintenance personnel or contractors.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software (ex: Solidworks)
  • Technical or trade school training is preferred.
  • Prior experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Exposure to capital improvement or facility risk assessment activities.
