Job Description Summary
The Advanced Programs Systems Engineering and Flight Test team is responsible for the design, development, vehicle integration, and testing of military and derivative commercial gas turbines, integrated propulsion, power, and thermal management systems, as well as leading breakthrough military technology programs.
As a Systems Test Staff Engineer, you will plan, execute integrated system and engine tests that validate propulsion, power, and thermal management performance across development phases. You will define test strategies and requirements, develop test methods and instrumentation plans, author procedures, and ensure safe, compliant test execution. You will lead cross-functional coordination with design, analytics, controls, and integration teams to translate requirements into testable configurations, resolve anomalies, and drive root-cause and corrective actions. You will synthesize test data into clear technical findings, verification evidence, and customer-ready reports, while managing configuration control, risk, and schedule to meet program Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives. You will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to test capability improvements, and support field/flight test readiness.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Staff Engineer for the Advanced Programs Systems Engineering team will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives, particularly as related to multiple advanced programs for future military aircraft systems. In this role you will assist with engine integration studies, technology demonstrator tests, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage scope, schedules, coordination, and execution of advanced programs
Coordinate with customer on technical and installation requirements
Manage interface control documents with the customer.
Lead cross functional teams in the execution of programs
Lead and provide key technical direction on projects with critical business impact
Assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs
Respond to request for proposals and request for information from external customers
Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within the work group
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers
Communicate with management on technical, financial and programmatic issues.
Ensure proper documentation of technical efforts
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering from accredited university or college
Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering and/or technical program management role.
Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.

Knowledge of engine qualification procedures and requirements
Experience working with DoD customer and processes
Experience working early engine development and integration programs
Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market, and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business
Experience with the DoD acquisition process
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to customers
Multiple years of engine test and/or instrumentation experience
Knowledge of GE test facilities and strong internal network within Test Services Engineering.
Active US Department of Defense Security Clearance.
