Job Title: Production Associate - 3rd Shift
Job Description
Join a dynamic and growing U.S. manufacturer as a Production Associate at our Evansville, IN facility. We are a full-service supplier for the garage door industry, providing components such as weather seals, hardware, aluminum retainers, fasteners, and accessories. As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
Serve as the final quality checkpoint before products ship to major garage door manufacturers nationwide.
Measure critical dimensions and test-fit products on gauges to ensure specifications are met.
Sort, count, and package finished products in various configurations, including coiled on reels and packed as straight lengths in cartons.
Prepare packaging materials as needed for production lines.
Regrind scrap materials and fill hoppers to maintain production flow.
Cut and number production retains per quality guidelines and document measurements on production reports.
Stand for 8-hour shifts, use calipers and tape measures, lift materials up to 50 lbs, and maintain consistent attendance.
Essential Skills
Physical stamina and agility to stand, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work 8-hour shifts while standing.
Capability to use hand tools for measurements.
Basic reading skills in English.
Reliability and punctuality with reliable transportation.
Ability to work in a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred but not required.
Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools.
Blueprint reading skills are a plus.
Extrusion or plastics manufacturing experience is desirable.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing plant specializing in extrusion and plastic fabrication for garage door components. The facility is climate-controlled with active production floors and multiple extrusion lines. Expect machinery noise, and adhere to safety protocols requiring steel-toed shoes. Join a team of 60+ employees, working with a small group per production line. Shifts are Monday through Friday with no weekends, with occasional overtime during peak periods. Dress casually in manufacturing-appropriate attire, with safety equipment provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
