Salary: This position pays a starting salary of $87,750 - $93,750 per year (with placement commensurate with experience and training). Contract is 210 days that includes family medical (80/20 plan), dental, vision, and life insurance. Paid Wyoming retirement of 18.12% (UCSD #1 pays 14.94%, employee pays 3.68%), and paid leave of 11 general leave days per year.
Job Goal: To assist the principal in leading a high school community toward increasing levels of achievement and growth for students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Wyoming Administrative certificate or exception authorization required.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
- Reports to the superintendent, designee, and/or building principal.
JOB GOAL:
- To help students resolve such academic and nonacademic problems that may interfere with students getting the greatest benefit from the district's educational opportunities and to help them achieve the fullest benefits from the school's programs, services, and offerings.
DUTIES:
- Shares with the principal the responsibility for protecting the health and welfare of students and increasing student achievement.
- Oversees all matters of student attendance.
- Counsels individual students and, when necessary, makes appropriate referrals for testing, guidance, or psychological counseling.
- Makes recommendations for appropriate revisions of policies and rules affecting students and staff.
- Resolves all discipline problems in a fair and just manner and maintains records of any disciplinary action taken.
- Participates in the coordination, implementation, and supervision of co-curricular activities.
- Assists in the interpretation of school and district programs, policies, and procedures to students, parents, staff and community.
- Confers with parents, teachers, counselors, support service personnel, and students on matters of academic, discipline and welfare.
- Has general supervisory responsibility for student activities, athletic events, remedial education, programs of student orientation, and similar activities.
- Supervises development, maintenance and distribution of student calendars, handbooks, schedules, and bulletins.
- Supervises assigned teachers.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 210 days; (Placement is commensurate with experience and training based on district Dean of Students Salary Schedule)
