Shifts Available:

Day Program: Full-time hours are available, in Day Program (this schedule includes Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 5pm)

Residential Services: Full time hours are available, in Residential Services, most shifts start at 2pm and later; shifts may include weekends, nights, overnights and holidays; may be needed to cover shifts on emergency basis

36-hour work week is full time

Pay Rate: $17.70/hour

What You Will Be Doing-As a Direct Care Professional for Envision, you'll be a key part of our team, ensuring the people we serve are supported and cared for. Your role is a unique mix of responsibility and heart, with duties including:• Providing safe transportation to people with IDD using an agency-provided vehicle• Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of everyone in your care• Following supervision level/protocols for people• Being a patient and compassionate presence who understands and is willing to meet the diverse needs of the people we support• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations• Embracing flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and unexpected situations with a positive attitudeWhat We're Looking For• A compassionate and patient individual who wants to make a positive impact• A valid Colorado Driver's License held for at least five years

• A clean driving record, with no more than three minor traffic violations in the last three years and no major violations in the last five years

• Experience working with people with IDD is a plus, comfortable with personal care - assisting with showering, dressing, personal hygiene

• Excellent communication skills and a strong team-player mindset

• Physically able to assist people in/out of vehicles including some passengers utilizing wheelchairs – ability to safely use the wheelchair lift, secure wheelchairs to the tie-down straps/system, and offering verbal or physical assistance to ensure passengers are using seatbelts

• Ability to document transportation services on a web-based documentation system on an agency-provided device• Ability to pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and CAPS check

Required Experience:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Colorado driver's license for at least five years (or if under 21 have a Driver's License for at least 3 years).

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to complete training in the areas of first Aid/CPR, medication administration, defensive driving, behavior management and crisis intervention.

  • Employment is contingent on the results of a required post offer drug screening test and criminal background check.

  • Must have motor vehicle, provide proof of automobile insurance, have a valid Colorado Driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must have a clean driving record with less than 3 minor traffic violations during the past three years and a record with no major (serious) violations in the last five years. Driving records with higher limits would be considered unacceptable.
