Smurfit Westrock HR Coordinator - Eutaw, AL in Eutaw, Alabama
The HR Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department including but not limited to; recordkeeping, creating and updating forms/spreadsheets, onboarding, recruiting and ensuring performance evaluations are done timely.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Payroll and Attendance
Coordinating Training and development activities for new hires and transfers and maintain training matrix for all employees
Assists with employee relations issues and partners Human Resources to resolve
Creates and updates Excel spreadsheets, filing etc for employment data and changes
Drafting routine correspondence and document headlines.
Maintains compliance with state and federal employment laws as well as company policies.
Partners with plant leadership to ensure performance reviews are done timely and accurately.
Conducts new hire orientation, prepares paperwork, HR documentation and creates/maintains personnel files.
Oversee the uniform program to include placing orders.
Coordinates temporary staffing under the direction of HR.
Basic knowledge of HR Policies and Procedures
Support HR Projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience or degree in HR or related field from an accredited college or university; Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are a must
Must be able to relate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Strong computer skills utilizing Word, Excel and other company databases
Must be well-organized and able to manage time efficiently
Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required
Must be willing to work overtime
