Overnight Monitor – Health & Safety - Mental Health Worker

Program Overview
Residential substance use treatment facility serving women in recovery through trauma-informed, evidence-based care. The program provides integrated substance use and mental health services in a structured, supportive residential environment.
Role Overview
The Overnight Monitor is responsible for maintaining client safety, facility security, and overnight supervision in a residential SUD setting. This role focuses on monitoring, crisis response, and documentation while ensuring a calm, trauma-informed environment during overnight hours.
Schedule
11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Any days of the week that work for the candidate
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Overnight coverage required
Key Duties
Maintain continuous overnight supervision of clients and facility
Conduct routine safety and behavioral rounds
Monitor client activity during sleeping hours
Respond to crises and de-escalate situations using trauma-informed care
Assist with client intake, orientation, and belongings management as needed
Conduct room checks, searches, and urinalysis testing per policy
Complete required documentation, logs, and incident reports
Communicate safety or behavioral concerns to clinical staff
Transport clients when assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s preferred)
SUD Counselor registration (CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP) Required
CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Valid California driver’s license
Experience in residential SUD or behavioral health preferred
Ability to remain awake and alert for entire overnight shift
Bilingual preferred
