Job Summary
As a mechanic, you are primarily responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of various systems and equipment at the Eschweiler plant.
These systems include internal mixers, rolling mills, vulcanization presses, stamping machines, conveying systems, various automation systems, as well as washing and filling equipment for the final product. In addition, you contribute to the continuous improvement of existing equipment, workflows, and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting and troubleshooting process disruptions
Carrying out, monitoring, and planning inspection and maintenance activities as well as (preventive) repair measures
Commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of tools, machinery, and equipment
Manufacturing, installation, and modification of spare and new parts
Adjustment and setup of sorting systems
Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic systems
Ensuring the continuous availability of required utilities such as compressed air, steam production, process cooling, and purified water
Education
- Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic
Work Experience
- Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment preferred
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in electro-pneumatics and hydraulics
Knowledge of TIG welding is an advantage
Good MS Office skills
Experience working with SAP is an advantage
Good English skills preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Independent working style with a high level of quality and safety awareness
