Delta Solid Waste Management Authority Office Manager in Escanaba, Michigan
Job Summary
The Office Manager position is primarily an administrative position. This person should possess the skills to be the face and voice of the Authority as directed by the Operations Manager and the Board.
- The person will need to be aggressive with public relations and speaking opportunities.
- This person must have good oral and written communication skills, be team oriented and work unsupervised.
- This person must be dependable, flexible and willing to work outsid normal operation hours.
- This person needs to be experienced in office operations, office equipment and computer operation. Proficient in Quick Books, Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.
- Work with the operations manager to implement all Board directives.
- Attend weekly safety meetings.
- This person will administravily deal in all aspects of human resources, regulartory reports, MIOSHA record keeping, documents, and operational planning and expenses.
- To provide executive assistance to the Operations Manager and Board, help generate an agenda for the monthly board meetings and attend the regular monthly board meetings.
- Participate in all state and federal site inspections, maintain a central filing system for all correspondence, documents and all regularty documentation on site as required by the Board and regularty agencies.
- Be responsible for all aspects of the finances of the Authority including monthly accounting, the annual audit, regulatory feed and charges, state withholding payments, bill payments, payroll and employee benefits. Provide the board with expense and income reports and with the operations manager, provide the information about future purchase needs and budget projections. The board meets once a month during meetings.
