DHL Express is seeking for a Sr. Manager - Global Aviation Purchasing – Global Aviation based in the United States.
The Sr. Manager of Global Aviation Purchasing provides strategic leadership, daily oversight, and personnel development for the component‑purchasing organization while ensuring fiscally responsible and timely procurement of aircraft components in support of DHL’s global fleet. This role is accountable for managing an annualized purchasing budget and maintaining strict adherence to operational, technical, and regulatory timelines.
The position requires demonstrated expertise in managing a diverse network of global vendors, along with a strong understanding of international aviation regulatory requirements.
How you will contribute
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
- Oversight of Global Purchasing team
a. Personnel Development
b. Strategy / Vision Implementation
Purchasing of large line replaceable components
Shop Management of Component Repairs
a. Thrust Reversers, Landing Gear, Fan Cowls, etc.
- Supplier Performance Management
a. Repair Shops
- Purchasing of the following programs:
a. Americas Heavy MX events
b. Conversion Aircraft Kits
c. Conversion Aircraft NR parts
d. Modification Kits & Parts
- Finance and M&E System Alignment
a. Goods Receipt
b. Location Accuracy
c. Invoice Submission to Finance
Qualifications - External
Who you are
Educational Qualifcations
Typically requires BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
Expected (Years of) Experience
Typically requires 8+ years experience in Purchasing large quantities of aircraft components from a global supplier base, including at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience
