The Warren Company Fabricator/Welder in Erie, Pennsylvania
- Set up and/or operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops to fulfill customer requirements and assure quality on each job.
- Develop, layout, and plan sequence of operations.
- Fabricate and assemble a variety of metal products.
- Knowledge of lifting procedures and rigging relating to cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices.
- Knowledge of wire filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
- Applications using manual and power tools.
- Demonstrate the ability to program machining centers and robotic welders.
- Maintain a high level of craftsmanship.
- Machine maintenance & safety; to include basic welding and press equipment.
- Ability to interface with computer systems , complete paperwork, and conduct in-process inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportion, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of times, measurements, inventory and procedures associated with the fabricating function.
- Ability to use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Perform other duties, shop wide, as assigned.
