The Warren Company Fabrication Estimator/Technical Sales Engineer in Erie, Pennsylvania
OVERVIEW
Perform sales related daily operational processes through customer/supplier relationships involving all aspects of fabrication sales. You will use your skills to interpret individual customer requirements by reading and understanding blue prints for the preparation of quotes and the preparation of work instructions to the shop floor, for new and repeat orders. You will be responsible for effective communications between customers and shop personnel to make sure we produce parts and assemblies to those customer prints by following company/industry standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Develop a working knowledge of the operational capabilities and functions of the fabrication department
- Develop a working knowledge of steel grades, sizes, forms and steel manufacturing processes
- Develop a diverse knowledge of steel's reaction resulting from various manufacturing processes
- Develop a divers knowledge of manufacturing processes and general requirements
- Understand our material handling and fabricating limits per department
- Understanding of welding symbols and processes, Mig, Tig, robot & spot welding
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Computer drafting using SolidWorks
- Fabrication
- Welding, Press Brake, Rolling, Stamping, Saw Cutting, Laser Cutting
- Quality Control and Inspection understanding
- Microsoft Word
