Setup and safely operate CNC Press Brakes to process/produce highest quality products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Set up and operate CNC and manual press brakes to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and blueprints.
2. Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, punches, and back gauges for each job.
3. Interpret complex fabrication drawings, bend deductions, flat patterns, and material specifications.
4. Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, protractors, height gauges, etc.).
5. Verify accuracy of machine settings to account for material variations, springback, confirm accurate tolerances, and machine functions; in-process checks will be required to maintain all required tolerances and quality standards.
6. Troubleshoot production issues, perform minor machine maintenance, and ensure proper functioning of press brake equipment.
7. Maintain adherence to tight tolerances and quality standards across all fabricated components; operators are required to maintain accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs.
8. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize setups and workflows.
9. Uphold strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
10. Train and mentor junior operators as needed.
11. Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
12. Communicates all production related items to next shift operators or shift supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 2 years of experience operating CNC press brakes in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
2. Experience with CNC programming, including Amada, Trumpf, Accurpress, Cincinnati, Bystronic, or similar systems.
3. Strong understanding of sheet metal behavior, bend allowances, and fabrication processes.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and fabrication drawings.
5. Proven ability to work with tight tolerances and complex part geometries.
6. Proficiency with standard measuring and inspection tools.
7. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
2. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on your own and up to 200+ lbs. in a team lift or with equipment assistance
3. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, stand for 10 hours
4. Ability to work in high temperatures
5. Ability to communicate needs and concerns in a timely manner
6. Ability to read and understand process sheets
7. Ability to hear horns, buzzers, and an intercom page
8. Ability to wear proper PPE- safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, and steel or safety toe shoes or boots
