Job Title: Material Handler - Forklift
Job Description
This role involves managing the flow of products throughout the facility, ensuring inventory availability, and transporting materials using forklifts and pallet jacks. The position demands accuracy in inventory management and adherence to safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Move and stage materials throughout the facility.
Update location data in the computer system.
Issue kits for production and final assembly.
Maintain inventory accuracy.
Ensure inventory items are available when needed.
Transport parts and materials between locations and departments.
Receive finished goods from production.
Maintain a clean work area and assist in departmental housekeeping.
Comply with safety procedures and company policies.
Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
Participate actively in company-sponsored training programs.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of computers and ability to type 30 words per minute.
Ability to read and interpret engineering bills of materials and blueprints.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Previous experience in material handling preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in shipping, material handling, and using stand-up forklifts.
Capability to handle lifting tasks of 40+ lbs.
Experience with data entry for shipping documents, BOLs, customs, and pack slips.
Experience tracking customer shipping requirements and freight accounts.

Work Environment
The position is based in a warehouse/manufacturing environment that produces hydraulic actuators. The facility operates with a strong emphasis on safety, providing all necessary personal protective equipment. The work schedule includes shifts from 5 AM to 1:30 PM or 1:15 PM to 9:45 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a contract-to-hire position with the potential for full-time employment based on business conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.45 - $22.45/hr.
