Spectrum Software Engineer V in Englewood, Colorado

*How You’ll Make an Impact *
Design and implement new, testable, and high-performing software functionality with minimal oversight
Scale and monitor deployed code, ensuring robust end-to-end operations and alerting
Influence the design and implementation of dependent systems such as APIs, clients, data stores, and CI/CD pipelines
Develop and maintain coding standards and best practices while enforcing approved code patterns across application domains
Participate in Agile and Scrum processes, contributing to technical requirements, release management, and deployment documentation
Triage defects, resolve system integration issues, and manage hotfixes for critical production incidents
Collaborate with architecture, testing, operations, database, and data center teams to solve complex technical challenges and mentor junior developers

*Education *
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
*Experience *
3+ years of database management systems experience
3+ years of coding, testing and designing software experience
3+ years of software development methodologies experience
*Skills *
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Proficient in one major programming language/tool; coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns; environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development; dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores; design patterns and software architecture patterns
Experienced in production operations of developed software
Proficient in micro-services, service-oriented architecture, monolith and anti-micro patterns
Experienced in applying appropriate software design patterns to the situation
Possesses demonstrated understanding of code organization of applications and ensures code is written in optimal location
Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways; work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Demonstrates discretion and judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Ability to work with little instruction on day-to-day work
Ability to use time and resources effectively, prioritizing work, establishing and meeting timelines without oversight, and delivering multiple tasks at the same time
Ability to clearly document, present and explains work to technical and business partners
Showcases multiple interconnected projects/features or an Epic to senior technical leadership and the business
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Preferred Skills:
Prefer individual with full stack development capabilities.
Knowledge of Camunda is a plus.

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
