Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Leave of Absence and Accommodation Case Manager I plays a vital role in supporting employees during critical life events by managing leave of absence and workplace accommodation requests. This position partners closely with HR, managers, and employees to ensure a smooth, compliant, and compassionate experience throughout the leave and accommodation process. By guiding individuals through each step, this role helps uphold a culture of care, trust, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage basic leave types, including FMLA, personal leave, and military leave, ensuring a clear and supportive employee experience
Track and review leave requests to ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal policies
Collaborate with employees, managers, and HR partners to collect necessary documentation and support timely case resolution
Maintain accurate documentation and update HRIS and case management systems with current leave and accommodation statuses
Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations to support compliant practices
Serve as a point of contact for employees throughout their leave or accommodation journey, providing timely, clear, and compassionate communication

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing leave of absence and accommodation cases
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related compliance regulations
Proficiency with HRIS and case management tools
Strong organizational skills with a sharp attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and discretion
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Experience facilitating interactive processes for accommodations is a plus
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Comfort working at a desk with extended periods of computer use
Occasional travel may be required

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $27.00/Hour - $38.70/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
