Description: Under the supervision of the Radiologist and the Director of Radiology, the Radiologic Technologists administer radiological examinations to patients. Technologists operate Radiology equipment, process the radiograph, and submit the appropriate forms to document assessments and consents (as needed) and radiology requisitions for the Dictation by the Radiologist. Knowledge of any additional charges (equipment & contrast) will be input into the computer or referred to the clerical staff for documentation. Each Technologist performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to produce quality radiographs. Each assumes the responsibility for examinations performed and procedures completed. Recognizes that the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Radiologic Technologist. Full Time position, 8am-4pm. Also a PRN position (less than 40 hours a week) with flexible hours. Knowledge in the scope of Radiology Services. Preference given to those that exercise continued education in their career. Demonstrates technical skill in problem solving, equipment and imaging problems. Willingness to support Administrative policies and philosophies. Displays the ability to improvise and implement various plans or programs to enhance the operation of the department and assist the patient. Ability to handle high-pressure, high volume, and heavy concentrated situations.
