Position Overview
The Machinist II position is responsible for the proficient operation of CNC and/or manual machines to produce precise components with minimal assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Independently set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines for predetermined processes.
Inspect and verify conformance of machined parts using provided measurement tools and techniques.
Detect and resolve minor processing issues.
Assist in training less experienced machine operators.
Collaborate with team members to maintain or improve production processes as well as participate in continuous improvement activities.
Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met and maintained.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; vocational/technical certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist in a production environment.
Understanding of precision measuring tools.
Strong understanding of manufacturing prints and GD&T quality specifications.
Skills & Requirements:
Proficiency in operating CNC and manual machining equipment.
Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
Ability to perform accurate part inspections and detect machine issues.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.
Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $24.00-32.00 (1st Shift)
$27.60-36.80 (2nd Shift)
