Job Title: Credit Analyst II
Here’s how you’ll make an impact
Evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the financial institution.
Analyzes data on new, renewal and existing mid-sized C&I and CRE loans, including data provided by financial statements, credit bureaus, other financial institutions, interviews, and financial institution files.
Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and written analysis for financial institution officers on new, renewal and existing commercial, industrial, and real estate loans regarding short and long-run prospects including risk identification and recommendations for approval/enhancement of loan proposal; may make recommendations of loan grade for loan review.
Prepares and reviews financial information files to generate current credit reports, statements, accounts receivable and other information on customer accounts; provides thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios and other related information; Ensures that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed lending policy.
Supports commercial lenders in loan request discussions and attending client calls/participant bank meeting.
Assists in the training of Credit Analysts I in both Commercial and Business Banking underwriting/analysis.
Reviews all Business Banking credit analysis performed by Credit Analyst I for accuracy and completeness before final review by Deputy Credit Officer
Provides secondary support for the SBA initiative by facilitating the process through E-Tran
Prepares reports to management and loan committees; Reviews monthly and quarterly reports, as needed.
Establishes, reviews and updates new and existing loan files for the financial institution on a regular basis.
Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business-related field.
Strong financial analytical abilities and writing skills; specialized financial analysis and collateral documentation training
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in related positions normally required
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Sageworks system preferred
Ability to work in a fast- paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to travel to client locations; Valid Driver’s License required
Salary Range $26 to $42.80 Hourly
