Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Elmhurst, Illinois
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Elmhurst, Illinois. This role involves overseeing key aspects of the accounts payable process and collaborating closely with the Director of Accounting to implement efficient purchasing order systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of invoice coding and its impact on accounting workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and manage a purchasing order (PO) processing system to streamline operations.
• Support the Director of Accounting in managing and improving purchase order workflows.
• Oversee the accounts payable process for non-inventory items, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform invoice coding and ensure alignment with the organization's chart of accounts.
• Conduct regular check runs and ensure timely payments through ACH and other methods.
• Monitor and improve accounts payable automation processes to enhance efficiency.
• Analyze the impact of the chart of accounts on financial reporting and ensure proper implementation.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies in invoices and payments and resolve issues promptly. Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable management or a related field.
• Proficiency in coding invoices and understanding their role in accounting processes.
• Experience with check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing order systems and their integration with accounting.
• Familiarity with the chart of accounts and its impact on financial workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in financial operations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The salary range for this position is $38/hour to $45/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
