Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Ellicott City, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Reconcile organizational accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in managing journal entries and working with the general ledger.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
