West Virginia Employer Cafe Shift Supervisor in Elkins, West Virginia
DUTIES:Maintaining high quality of food and beverage service. Actively seeks guests feedback using established comment card program. Utilizes information as a guidance of training. Addresses guests concerns and consults with the Dining Services Director on such matters, as needed. Trains employees in methods of performing duties, assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency in operations, excellence in food presentation, and service. Ensures food is served in correct portions, properly garnished, and maintained at proper temperatures. Ensures sanitation and safety meets or exceeds specifications of the local Health Department. Ensures timely and efficient meal service. Will meet regularly to discuss operations with the Dining Services Management Team. Works with the Business Office to develop and monitor payment processes. Serves as a role model for associates and students by maintaining standards of appearance, dress, attendance, and conduct. Other duties as assigned. PREREQUISITES / EDUCATION: High School Diploma. Three years service in similar supervisory capacity/related field. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Ability to obtain SERV Safe certification within six months of start date. General knowledge of National Sanitation Foundation guidelines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing and/or walking 100 percent of the time. Occasionally lifting 50 pounds. Frequently lifting 20 pounds.
