QPS EMPLOYMENT GROUP CNC Maintenance Technician in ELKHORN, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and related equipment - Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and servo systems using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools - Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues using appropriate test equipment - Calibrate and align machine components to meet precision tolerances - Follow all safety procedures, including strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols - Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks in alignment with production schedules - Document maintenance activities, downtime, and parts usage in the maintenance management system - Partner with operators and supervisors to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions - Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and facility improvements - Fabricate tooling and fixtures as needed - Monitor consumable tooling levels and communicate replenishment needs - Maintain a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and safe work practices - Perform other duties as assigned ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems - Solid understanding of CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals - Working knowledge of PLC systems and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens preferred) - Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment - Basic welding and fabrication skills - Experience with precision measuring tools and machine alignment - Familiarity with CNC programming concepts (M-Code knowledge a plus) - Strong communication and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work both independently and within a team environment - High school diploma or GED required - Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred - 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting CNC equipment - Additional training in electronics or electrical systems preferred - Welding or fabrication training a plus - Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls preferred - Strong electrical troubleshooting experience required - Certified electrician designation is a plus - Experience with CNC machines, paper machines, printing presses, or similar industrial equipment preferred - Basic computer skills (Windows-based systems) - Forklift certification preferred - Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, electrical systems, dust, and pressurized equipment - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including climbing, pushing, and pulling - Ability to move throughout the facility and work safely around machinery - Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed - Opportunity to transition to alternate shifts after initial training period based on business needs - Valid driver\'s license ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: teresa.considine@qpsemployment.com Apply Online: https://jobs.qpsemployment.com/jobs/799721 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
