Aerotek Heavy Equipment Operator in Elkhorn, Nebraska
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – $30–$35/hr
Description:
If you’re an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator looking for solid, steady work, this opportunity is for you! A large commercial construction project in Omaha, NE is hiring a skilled and versatile operator to join the team. This position offers variety, consistent hours, and the chance to operate multiple types of heavy equipment. We offer a fast interview process so you can get to work quickly.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment for site prep, grading, excavation, trenching, and material handling
• Work on multiple machines as project needs change, including excavators, dozers, motor graders, scrapers, tractor pans, backhoes, and track hoes
• Perform fine grading and foundation work with accuracy
• Complete daily equipment inspections and basic upkeep
• Maintain a safe and productive jobsite while following supervisor direction and safety standards
Essential Skills:
• 3+ years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment
• Proven experience on commercial or civil construction sites
• Ability to operate equipment such as excavators, dozers, graders, and scrapers
• GPS experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus)
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• OSHA 10 certification (can be provided if not already held)
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Willingness and ability to jump between different machines as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhorn, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
