JOB REQUIREMENTS: Temporary Kitchen Worker at Lakestreet Caf Start Date: 4/1/2026 End Date: 11/30/2026 Lakestreet Caf located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin seeks Eight (8) full-time Temporary Kitchen Workers who will be responsible for: cleaning and sanitizing dishes, cookware, and utensils; cleaning and sanitizing food preparation work stations; assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients; follow all food health and safety requirements; assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage; communicate kitchen needs to supervisors; Interact with customers as needed. Will report directly to Head Chef or Owner. Three (3) months of experience at a hotel, resort, restaurant or private club required. EXPERIENCE AS IN CULINARY SERVICES INCLUDING CHEF, COOK, PASTRIES OR FINE DINING ; MAY SUBSTITUTE OTHER EXPERIENCE. All worksites located in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. Workers are assigned to one (1) worksite per day, and rarely travel outside of their assigned worksite. Therefore, travel throughout this area is required less than 5% of the time. Daily commuting time to worksites is less than one (1) hour. Daily transportation is provided to and from worksite. On-the-job training is provided. Wage: Guaranteed prevailing wage rate of \$15.41 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available and guaranteed at no less than \$23.12 per hour. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours and shifts vary. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. ALL DEDUCTIONS FROM PAYCHECK WILL BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS REQUIRED BY LAW INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED PROPER DEDUCTION TO ENSURE WAGES DO NOT IMPROPERLY FALL BELOW PREVAILING WAGE. OPTIONAL HOUSING IS AVAILABLE TO ALL INDIVDIUALS WHO RESIDE OUTSIDE THE REASONABLE COMMUNITING DISTANCE FROM THE WORKPLACE WHICH IS ASSUMED TO BE 100 MILES OR MORE, IF THEY ARE WILLING TO TEMPORARILY RELOCATE TO THE WORKLOCATION. IF HIRED EMPLOYER IS WILLING TO FACILITATE HOUSING THROUGH A THIRD ARTY OR THROUGH EMPLOYER OWNED HOUSING. COST OF HOUSING, IF ACCEPTED, IS UP TO \$150 PER WEEK PAYABLE TO DIRECTLY TO HOUSING PROVIDER AND NOT BY PAYROLL DEDUCTION. IF HOUSING IS UTILIZED, AN AGREEMENT FOR HOUSING WILL BE REQUIRED WITH THE THIRD-PARTY PROVIDER. A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF UP TO \$0.00 IS REQUIRED. ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE DIRECTLY HOUSING PROVIDER AND NOT BY PAYROLL DEDUCTION If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker\'s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of \$68.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
