Production Lead – Food Manufacturing
Join a growing food manufacturing team as a Production Lead. You’ll guide a crew, keep production running smoothly, and ensure safety and quality standards are met every shift.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support production team members
Ensure packaging specs and work orders are followed
Enforce safety rules and address issues promptly
Use handheld scanners and software to maintain accurate inventory
Reconcile staging areas and run basic reports
Schedule and monitor crew breaks; operate equipment safely
Assign housekeeping and sanitation tasks (GMPs)
Review quality and safety documentation
Update communication boards and run shift‑change meetings
Perform and assign QC testing; complete HACCP/CQP checks
Communicate allergen procedures and ensure compliance
Use basic math for ingredient calculations and shift transitions
What You Bring
Production or manufacturing experience
Leadership or supervisory experience
Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
Ability to follow procedures and solve routine problems
Preferred
1–3 years of related experience or training
Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions
Basic math and written communication skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
