Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role is for a Maintenance Technician in a GMP environment where marshmallows are produced. The technician will respond to repair requests for production machinery and building equipment throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to restore machinery to satisfactory running condition.
Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts, and verbal instructions to perform tasks.
Perform moderate to complex adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment including bagging machines, conveyors, case erectors, kitchen equipment, and utility equipment.
Conduct basic rebuilding of gearboxes, motors, and small pneumatic equipment.
Analyze existing problems and provide innovative solutions.
Unload powdered and liquid raw materials from rail cars as needed.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant process and utility equipment, including lubrication, filter replacement, and equipment inspection.
Assist with equipment installations and upgrades.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems.
Experience in industrial maintenance, particularly in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
Strong understanding of electrical maintenance, including 3-phase motors, variable frequency drives, controls, and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must supply own hand tools and safely use power tools.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights including rooftops and silos, and lift 70 pounds safely.
Some knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic operations.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; vocational training or AA/AS degree is a plus.
Familiarity with the A-B control platform and vertical bagging and scale equipment is a plus.
Industrial maintenance experience preferred; food industry or confections experience is a plus.
Open to trade school graduates/entry-level candidates.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.13/hr.
