CNC Mill Machinist – 1st Shift
Join a stable, well‑equipped job shop with brand‑new CNC machines and a team known for long employee tenure. We’re looking for a skilled CNC Mill Machinist who can set up, run, and inspect precision parts in a low‑volume, high‑mix environment.
What You’ll Do
Set up CNC mills by reviewing work instructions, materials, and part specs
Load, edit, and adjust CNC programs; set tool offsets
Run and oversee multiple machines to maximize efficiency
Select or manufacture tooling and fixtures
Perform secondary operations (drill press, deburring, polishing)
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
Check surface finish and identify defects (burrs, scratches, rust)
Complete production documentation and use real‑time data collection
Keep work area clean and organized
Communicate quality issues, scrap, and production updates
Support and guide lower‑skilled operators as needed
Follow all safety, ISO/AS, and company procedures
What You Bring
Strong CNC setup and program editing skills
Ability to load/unload tools and set offsets
Solid blueprint reading and understanding of customer specs
Experience inspecting parts with calibrated metrology tools
Knowledge of raw materials and machining properties
Basic trigonometry and math skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Preferred
OSHA training (LOTO, PPE, HazCom)
Experience in a job‑shop environment
In‑house machine training or similar background

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
