Job Summary:The Ultrasound Tech performs Ultrasound exams on patients as ordered by physicians in an ethical and professional manner. Assists in all aspects of the Radiology and Ultrasound Department.Qualifications / Job Requirements:Education / Skills Required:* Must be registered by the American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in any of the following disciplines: Abdomen, OB/GYN or Vascular.* Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and family in a professional and compassionate manner.* Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.* Requires the ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.* Must maintain a working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment.The University of Vermont Health Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
