Job Title: Weekend Shift Production Assembler – Wire Harness and Cable Assemblies
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and small electronic components on a clean, climate-controlled production floor. You will follow detailed work orders and production drawings to build high-quality products, working both independently and as part of a collaborative team on a weekend-focused schedule.
Responsibilities
Assemble wire harness and cable assemblies according to established specifications and quality standards.
Perform small-part assembly by attaching electronic components onto plastic pieces with precision and care.
Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and instructions to accurately assemble products.
Position, align, and secure parts to each other to ensure proper fit and function.
Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
Perform kitting activities by gathering and organizing parts and materials needed for assembly jobs.
Support production goals by maintaining consistent output and meeting quality and efficiency targets.
Work independently at your assigned station while also collaborating effectively with team members as needed.
Follow all safety procedures, use company-provided PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Carry out other assembly or production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
Experience with production assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly or cable assembly.
Ability to perform kitting tasks, including organizing and preparing parts for assembly.
Familiarity with crimping, soldering, and wiring in an assembly setting.
Ability to read and follow production drawings, work orders, and basic blueprints.
Comfort using basic power tools and hand tools safely.
Capability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards in repetitive tasks.
Willingness and availability to work a weekend-focused schedule (Saturday through Wednesday).

Will work Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
need to train on standard M-F shift
1st shift 6am - 2:30 pm
2nd shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
3rd shift 10:30 pm - 7:00am Saturday night - Wednesday Morning
Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, lean manufacturing facility that is climate controlled, well-lit, and highly organized. The building is divided into separate assembly departments, and this position works within the cable solutions area on the production floor. Each employee receives an individual workstation or rotates between stations where tools and materials are clearly organized. The environment supports precision assembly work, including wire harness and cable assembly, soldering, wiring, and use of basic power tools. The company provides all required personal protective equipment and offers access to locker rooms with locks, as well as an on-site café for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The schedule follows a weekend-focused shift, working Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, supporting a consistent and predictable work pattern in a modern, well-maintained production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
