Forklift Operator & Material Handler - $17 an hour
Eldridge, Iowa
3:00pm - 11:30pm (OT to be expected)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator & Material Handler to join our team in a high‑volume distribution center. In this role, you will build and prepare pallets of canned and dry goods for shipment to major grocery retailers. You will use a stand‑up forklift and a voice‑directed headset system to pick, pack, and palletize orders with accuracy and efficiency in a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build and palletize orders of canned and dry goods for outbound shipment.
Operate a stand‑up forklift to navigate warehouse locations safely and efficiently.
Follow voice‑guided headset instructions for order picking and packing.
Customize pallets based on specific client requirements.
Maintain productivity and accuracy in a high‑speed warehouse setting.
Support general labor tasks as needed to keep workflow moving smoothly.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of forklift experience , specifically with stand‑up models.
Proven experience in order picking, packing, and palletizing .
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
Comfortable performing physical labor and standing 8–10 hours per day .
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a fast‑paced distribution or warehouse environment .
Familiarity with voice‑directed picking systems is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
