Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the reporting, reliability, and communication of monthly financial statements.
Prepare and monitor weekly cash forecasting reports.
Approve cash disbursements and ensure timely payments to vendors and other commitments while maintaining cash objectives.
Maintain the accuracy of all financial ledgers and record-keeping systems through regular reconciliation reviews.
Assist with company planning processes and ensure timely completion.
Analyze company cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to identify potential issues.
Manage cash management/treasury functions, including ACH and wire transactions for banking relationships.
Develop programs to strengthen operational processes and increase efficiencies, providing clear communication to the management team.
Prepare annual reports and support schedules for external audits and reviews; enhance financial policies and practices to improve performance.
Promote and maintain compliance with applicable legislative or statutory financial requirements.
Foster proactive, positive communication and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee the management and control of the company’s assets and resources to ensure sound procedures and compliance.
Report effectively on all financial targets, deficiencies, and corrective actions to leadership, presenting financial information in a clear, understandable manner.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
Authority and experience to lead financial management within a plant environment.
Strong team leadership skills, with an ability to develop and motivate multi-skilled staff and systems to achieve financial targets.
Significant experience in financial management within a manufacturing operation.
Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Capable of developing financial strategies in coordination with plant and group management.
Serve as the key contact for all finance-related matters internally and externally.
High self-motivation and drive for organizational success.
Ability to communicate effectively with banking partners, CPAs, and taxing authorities.
Bachelor’s degree required; professional financial qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
5–7 years in a senior finance management role within a manufacturing environment.
Well-developed people management skills or the aptitude to quickly acquire them.
Experience in the automotive industry is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in computerized management information systems; SAP experience is a plus.
