BATEMAN MOSIDA FARMS LLC Farm Laborer (temporary) in ELBERTA, Utah
Temporary Need: 04/15/26 - 10/31/26. Six (6) full-time, seasonal, temporary Farm Laborers needed. Requirements:
This job requires a minimum of one (1) month experience operating harvesting equipment. Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Wage is $12.48/hr. $10.64/hr. for H-2A workers.
Opportunity for higher pay dependent on experience, tenure or work ethic.
Location: Work will be performed in Elberta and Delta, Utah.
Hours: Will work 60 hrs./wk., Mon-Sat. from 6:00AM-5:00PM.
Monday-Saturday, Average 55 hrs/wk. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a workers Sabbath or federal holidays. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature or crop conditions. Random and post accident drug testing. All drug testing is performed without regard to an employee's citizenship or immigration status, and all testing is paid for by the company.
Duties:
Operate harvesting equipment for wheat harvest, haylage and corn silage. Plant corn and wheat.
Terms and Conditions of Employment:
Two (2) hour training required operating/driving equipment around farm. Tools, room, board, kitchen facilities and transportation provided at no cost to workers. Workers must be available for the entire work period. Workers are required to keep all property, housing, and farm buildings clean, and must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor; employee must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision; absences from work and/or failure to perform required tasks will not be tolerated; must be able to provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence (minimum $16.28 and maximum $68 per day with receipts) from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed. If before the expiration date specified in the work contract, the services of the worker are no longer required for reasons beyond employer's control due to fire, weather, or other act of God that makes the fulfillment of the contract impossible, the employer may terminate the work contract. Whether such an event constitutes a contract impossibility will be determined by the Certified Officer. Employer will follow follow all regulations per 20 CFR sec. 655.122(0). The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage (AWER) that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed.
