Description We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our team in El Segundo, California, specializing in the food and food processing industry. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will oversee critical projects related to logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Responsibilities:
• Coordinate inbound logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Develop and track performance metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce costs in logistics processes.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and supply chain teams to maintain accurate records and streamline operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations.
• Address and resolve transportation-related issues, including delays and damages, to minimize disruptions.
• Contribute to the development of logistics strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations governing logistics operations.
• Monitor industry trends and regulations to adapt processes and maintain best practices.
• Guide teams in adopting efficient systems and workflows to enhance productivity. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably within the food industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in logistics management software or related tools.
