Overview
The Saatchi LA office is looking for college seniors and recent graduates who are eager to learn and gain experience with real client work at an agency. Saatchi’s Summer Internship is a paid 9-week program from June 15th to August 15th with a 5-day hybrid work week. The internship will provide lessons from various departments of an agency, the opportunity to work alongside and gain mentorship from advertising professionals and be immersed in real client projects.
As an intern, we expect you to give us your energy, enthusiasm, and thirst for knowledge, and we'll give you a hands-on, insider introduction to working at an advertising agency. More than just a resume-builder, our internship program will challenge your expectations, broaden your horizons, and show you why advertising is our passion and why we live to influence popular culture.
*An online Art Director portfolio is a requirement for this position
Responsibilities
As an Art Director Intern , here’s what you’ll do:
Partner with a Copywriter Intern to concept and execute against creative briefs for existing clients in traditional media and the digital space.
Collaborate and support art directors and other members of the creative team from concept development through post-production to get a clear understanding of how ideas are developed, sold, and brought to life.
Develop visual direction and conceptual ideas for agency projects.
Gain hands-on experience contributing to real work while also creating portfolio worthy projects.
Work with cross-functional teams to better understand how ideas move through the agency.

Fluent in the visual language of social platforms, new digital formats, and the speed of culture.
Proactively sourcing ideas across memes, creators, emerging trends, etc for fresh visual references on projects.
The ability to translate cultural insights into tangible and authentic visual direction.
Requirements
Proficiency in the Adobe Suite, AI tools, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace.
Ability to be in the LA office 3 x per week.
Recent college graduate/university senior with a degree in art direction within advertising/marketing/communications.
Previous internships preferred but not required.
An online portfolio to be submitted with your application.

Compensation Range: $20 per hour. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
