Robert Half Accounts Payable Accountant in El Segundo, California
Description
We are looking for a skilled part-time Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in El Segundo, California. This is a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced individual with expertise in managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in accounting records. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing accounts payable operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
This is a part-time position 10 hours per week with the possibility of more hours based on business demands. Onsite for training the first two week then remote!
Responsibilities:
• Process and verify accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper alignment of transactions.
• Utilize Concur software for expense management and reporting.
• Monitor and review Concur expense submissions for compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve workflow efficiency.
• Provide assistance during audits by organizing and presenting financial documentation.
• Address and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in using Concur and Concur Expense for accounting tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate within a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
