Amazon OTR Area Manager , Amazon Logistics in El Salto, Mexico
Description
The OTR Manager II role is a strategic position to lead our last mile operations on route. As an OTR Manager II, you will be a key strategic driver in delivering results. This position requires a strong attention to operational metrics and the ability to coordinate and guide teams through ambiguity.
During Peak Events (High Season) this role is required to work on weekends and Holidays, also during night shifts to ensure the execution of plans. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, leadership experience, excellent communication abilities at all levels, and the capacity to drive operational excellence through team coordination and data-driven decisions while maintaining an empathetic approach. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and a proven track record of implementing successful process improvements is essential.

Review the operational forecast and determine on-the-road capacity and productivity requirements to ensure business goals.
Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all delivery service providers.
Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implement Lean methodologies.
Analyze operational metrics and develop strategies to improve performance based on data/tendencies.
Mentor and develop junior managers, fostering their growth and enhancing team capabilities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with team members through effective communication and empathetic leadership.
Lead change at internet speed, as innovation has made us the global company we are today.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of employee and performance management experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
