Insight Global Safety Director in El Paso, Texas

Job Description

A Safety Director develops, implements, and oversees company-wide health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a compliant, accident-free workplace. They lead risk assessments, conduct audits, manage incident investigations, and enforce regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) while fostering a proactive safety culture across all operations.

The Safety Director oversees all aspects of the safety department to ensure compliance with all safety laws regulations and codes and is responsible for proper organization and distribution of safety documentation, maintaining training records, assisting with employee onboarding, and managing PPE inventory. Must continually monitor processes and procedures to assure that our client is providing its employees workplaces free from recognized hazards that could cause injury or death


Key Responsibilities:

• Policy Development: Creating and updating safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Risk Management & Inspections: Conducting regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

• Accident Investigation: Leading investigations into incidents or near-misses, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Training & Education: Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees to enhance safety awareness and compliance.

• Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Maintaining accurate safety records, managing workers' compensation issues, and reporting safety metrics to senior management.

• Leadership: Mentoring safety teams, supervising site safety staff, and fostering a corporate culture prioritizing safety.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience: 5-10+ years of safety-related experience, in construction

• Certification: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is highly desirable.

• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.

• Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, incident investigation, and analytical skills.
