Job Summary

The Plastic Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining plastic manufacturing machines to produce high-quality plastic products. This role also includes performing quality control inspections to ensure products meet company and customer specifications. The operator must follow safety procedures, production standards, and maintain efficient machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

  • Set up, operate, and monitor plastic manufacturing machines such as injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding equipment.

  • Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, speed) to maintain optimal production.

  • Start and stop machines according to production schedules.

  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major problems to maintenance or supervisors.

  • Ensure machines run efficiently to meet production targets.

Quality Control

  • Inspect plastic parts and finished products for defects such as warping, discoloration, flash, or improper dimensions.

  • Measure product specifications using gauges, calipers, and other quality inspection tools.

  • Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.

  • Remove defective products from production and report issues immediately.

  • Ensure products meet customer and company quality standards.

Production & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports.

  • Follow production schedules and work orders.

  • Package finished products according to company guidelines.

  • Label and organize materials and finished goods properly.

Safety & Maintenance

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines.

  • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Previous experience in plastic manufacturing or machine operation preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of quality control processes and inspection tools.

  • Ability to read production instructions and specifications.

  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

$12.50-$14/hr paid weekly!

Pay Details: $12.50 to $14.00 per hour
