Major/Essential Functions:
Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings
Delivers pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings at a facility affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center
Performs outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG
Develops rehabilitation protocols at the El Paso Children’s Hospital for patients requiring rehabilitation services
Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
Upholds and promotes the value-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

Required Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O. degree
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Experience in evaluation and management of pediatric patients in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Texas medical licensure, or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
