Amergis School Aide - Weekly Pay and ASAP Start! in El Monte, California
School Aides Needed in El Monte!
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM Pay: $18–$21/hour (DOE) Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated School Aide to support students who need instructional and behavioral assistance throughout the school day. Under the direction of the special education department, classroom teacher, or designated supervisor, you’ll help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. This position may also involve assisting students with personal care, mobility needs, and therapeutic activities as directed by licensed specialists or health professionals.
What You’ll Do
Support students with classroom activities, behavior plans, and daily routines.
Assist teachers and specialists in implementing instructional and behavioral strategies.
Provide personal care or mobility assistance to students when needed.
Help maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with staff regarding student needs and progress.
Follow all school, district, and program guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow professional standards of practice
Current CPR certification, if required
TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray, if required
Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulations)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
