Location: El Monte, CA
Schedule:
Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Wednesday: 4 hours (flexible within school hours)
Pay: $40+/hour (Negotiable DOE)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team in El Monte, CA. In this role, you’ll support students in developing functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills that enhance their independence and participation in the classroom. You will work under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist and be part of a collaborative, student-centered team.
Responsibilities
Carry out individualized therapy plans created by the supervising OT
Support students in building fine motor, sensory-processing, and daily living skills
Document student progress clearly and accurately
Communicate effectively with the supervising OT, teachers, and school staff
Work collaboratively to foster student growth and success in the educational environment
Requirements
Active COTA certification and California state license
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational team
