Sheet Metal Fabricator - El Cajon - 1st & 2nd Shift - $23/hr-$35/hr
Job Description
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will operate rollers for sheet metal fabrication, ensuring tight tolerances of 30 thou. You will autonomously set up machines for sheet metal bending and rolling, utilizing precision measurement tools such as combo squares, calipers, and gauges.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up machines including shear, CNC Turret Punch Press, Punch Press, and Press Brake.
Work with power rollers, resistance seam welders, expanders, and perform assembly, form bellows, and deburring.
Fabricate parts to dimensional tolerances as required by engineering drawings.
Check all operations from material gauge and type through shearing, punching, or forming.
Figure shear size and flat pattern layout using height gauges and precision instruments from engineering drawings.
Work independently and collaboratively to develop guidelines for the production of sheet metal assemblies.
Be willing to work at assigned jobs in or outside the sheet metal department.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, CNC press brake operation, sheet metal bending, and rolling.
Experience with planishing, roll form, and bump form.
Competence in using precision measurement tools such as combo squares, calipers, and gauges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to set up and operate machines including shear, CNC Turret Punch Press, Punch Press, Press Brake, and power roller.
Familiarity with durma, wysong, amada, Cincinnati, and brake press operations.
Experience in spot welding and roll welding.

Work Environment
Work involves repetitive tasks, making pieces in batches of 20-30, with 2-3 different setups daily, subject to change. Available shifts include 1st shift from 6 AM to 4:30 PM and 2nd shift from 4 PM to 2:30 AM. The role requires working independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
