TriMas Corporation 2nd Shift Lead in El Cajon, California

JOB SUMMARY

The Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring that team members adhere to company standards, policies and regulations. This is a working lead role with the addition of coordinating tasks, providing training and mentorship, and facilitating communication between team members and Supervisor.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with company standards, policies and regulations.

· Allocate tasks and assignments to team members based on their skills and workload.

· Provide training and mentorship to new and existing team members, focusing on skill development and professional growth.

· Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and quality of work.

· Facilitate communication between team members and Supervisor, acting as a liaison to ensure smooth operation and collaboration.

· Manage conflict resolution within the team, addressing issues promptly and mediating disputes to maintain a positive work environment.

· Prepare and review reports on team performance, project progress, and operational challenges, presenting findings to Supervisor.

· Implement innovative solutions and process improvements to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and increase efficiency within the team.

· When Supervisor is away, Lead might be asked to support meetings.

· Will strive to be hands on work at least 80% of the time

This role is required to be on-site 4 days at the El Cajon, CA location.
