Job Description
AECOM Edmonton is seeking a motivated and skilled Structural Technician to join our Water Infrastructure team. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers, EITs, technologists, and project managers to deliver high-quality and technically challenging structural design projects within the water and wastewater treatment and conveyance sector.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Perform structural drafting / 3D BIM for concrete, steel, and structures.
Prepare finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and details.
Support deliverable package preparation and submission.
Monitor and document conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Work in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e., ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
Self-checks drawings for quality assurance.
Work in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues in different disciplines based in different offices.
Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T with ASET or eligible within 12 months.
College diploma in Engineering Technology + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Proficient in 3D Revit/BIM drafting
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Able to develop and advance drawings from conceptual to detailed design stage.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Experience with process mechanical design and modeling.
Familiar with other CAD and modeling software platforms.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $72000 to $96000.
