The Transportation / Release Clerk is responsible for the daily outbound load planning and to efficiently execute the release of orders to EXE to be selected. The Transportation / Release Clerk is also responsible for providing clerical support and to actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment.

Available Shift: Part time – Saturday & Sunday 7am -3pm

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Distribute routing reports to various users at the Retail Support Centres and Third Party Carriers

  • Maintain and update the access databases and issue daily reports

  • Communicate changes in the delivery schedule to Operations (rush orders, add ons and transfers)

  • Communicate with Retail Service regarding any undelivered orders from daily shipments

  • Arrange and reschedule reships as required

  • Releasing all scheduled orders out of EXE for selection

  • Running pre-weight reports to assist in the planning of deliveries

  • Preparation and amalgamation of load sheets by stapling pallet select labels and attaching to sheets, as well as handwritten bills and meat billInput Agropur Cross Dock Data into database and generate BOLs as required

  • Scanning inbound and outbound documents into IXOS

  • PO verification as required

  • Run Receiving labels as required

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Experience with Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, SAP, EXE preferred all scheduled orders out of EXE for selection

  • Running pre-weight reports to assist in the planning of deliveries

What you have to offer:

  • Ability to multi task

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

  • Basic mathematical skills

  • High School Diploma

  • Above average oral and written communication skills

  • Team player

  • May be required to lift up to 22 lbs

  • Sitting for long periods of time; may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time

  • Using a computer keyboard and mouse for long periods of time
