Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania Mobile Shop/Retail Sales Coordinator in Edinboro, Pennsylvania

Location: Edinboro office and remote work

  1. Part-time position, 15-20 hours per week; year round
  2. $18 per hour
  3. Hours vary by week based on mobile shop schedule, pop-up events, weekends, and seasonal peak times
  4. Work takes place in a mobile retail vehicle that travels around our coverage area
  5. Occasional work in the Edinboro office providing retail shop coverage

Role Description:

Our mobile shop retail sales coordinator is part retail, part road trip, and all Girl Scout spirit! You'll start by helping set up the mobile shop at a scheduled location/event - organizing displays, stocking merchandise, and getting ready to welcome shoppers. Throughout this experience, you'll assist Girl Scouts, families and volunteers as they shop for uniforms, badges/insignia, gifts and so much more! You'll be answering questions, making recommendations, and helping everyone find what they are looking for. Between shoppers, you'll keep the mobile shop tidy, restock and support inventory tracking. At the end of outing, you'll pack up, secure all shop components and get ready for the next location - knowing you helped bring the Girl Scout experience to the many communities you'll visit. When you are not on the road with the mobile unit, you will be researching and securing additional shop location opportunities as well as occasional coverage/back-up of our Edinboro retail shop location. This role requires regular operation of a 2026 Ford Transit Cargo van so you must be confident and comfortable driving this type of vehicle.

Essential Duties

  1. Regular operation of a 2026 Ford Transit Cargo van (mobile shop) throughout western PA
  2. Support the mobile shop by researching, identifying and securing high-visibility pop-up retail locations
  3. Provide friendly customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for Girl Scouts, families, volunteers, and communities
  4. Assist with sales, merchandising, inventory, and event-based retail operations
  5. Handle cash, credit card transactions, refunds and exchanges
  6. Assist with set-up and breakdown of merchandise displays at each Mobile Shop location
  7. Restock merchandise and keep shelves/displays neat and visually appealing
  8. Track inventory needs, and report low-stock items
  9. Back-up the Edinboro retail shop as needed
  10. Represent the Girl Scout brand with professionalism and enthusiasm

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Core Competencies

  1. Comfortable driving a large cargo van/vehicle in various western PA terrains and in various weather conditions; training will be provided
  2. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a continually changing work environment
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and working knowledge of Excel
  5. Comfortable using POS systems, iPad, and basic technology
  6. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
  7. Ability and willingness to work and maintain a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends during the busy time for the Retail Sales Department

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. 1+ years of customer service or retail experience
  3. Must have current, active drivers license
